Professional Summary

I’ve run vConsultants since 2012, architecting VMware Cloud Foundation (VCF 9/5) and NSX environments for telecom, government, finance, and healthcare clientsβ€”sectors where an outage is never just an inconvenience.

My focus is high-availability platform design and lifecycle programs that reduce risk rather than introduce it, usually in multi-site or regulated environments where the margin for error is small.

Professional Experience

vConsultants | Independent Cloud Infrastructure Architect & Founder - 2012 – Present

Greenfield architecture, infrastructure lifecycle management, and migration services for enterprise and regulated environments.

  • National Emergency Infrastructure β€” ASTRID Belgian Emergency Services (2015–2019): technical lead and architectural owner for the virtualization stack renewal of the national emergency-dispatch (CAD) platform. Designed a 3-datacenter architecture (2 active, 1 DR) connected through dark fiber, built on NetApp MetroCluster and Site Recovery Manager replication - the latform achieved and maintained 99.999% availability for life-safety operations.
  • Acted as technical lead for VxRail rollout and Horizon VDI implementation programs, delivered in subcontract to a major telecom operator for its enterprise end-customers in the architecture and construction sectors.
  • Defined a repeatable HPE SimpliVity upgrade path for a public-sector client, applying it across multiple recurring engagements to stabilize production environments and extend platform lifecycle.

comdivision (via vConsultants) | Architect / Consultant - 2020 – 2025

VCF deployment designs and architectural guidance delivered within the comdivision partner channel.

  • Cloud Director Deployment β€” North American Service Provider (Nov 2023 – May 2024): architected and deployed VMware Cloud Director on a VCF platform with a 6-rack footprint (16 servers per rack), an EVPN fabric across Arista switches, and isolated NSX Edge clusters. The result was an isolated cloud architecture hosting production tenant workloads.
  • Multi-Site Blueprint β€” Canadian Enterprise Client (Mar 2023 – Dec 2023): architected a two-site VMware platform across Kelowna and Mississauga (12 servers per site) and built out the primary site myself. Supported the client’s own team as needed while they stood up the secondary site β€” the process proved the design out as a repeatable blueprint for future sites.
  • Co-led VCF scoping workshops for financial institutions β€” requirements, constraints, and deployment designs for multi-cluster environments.
  • Provided architecture and technical support for comdivision’s customers accross multiple engagements
  • Co-built Tanzu and Cloud Provider Program proof-of-concepts, and contributed to technical partner content, for Broadcom/VMware.
  • Contributed technical partner content.
  • Designed a VCDR with HCX-based disaster recovery strategy for a healthcare insurance client.
  • Led a two-phase VDI modernization project for an automotive sector client - migrating a legacy Citrix environment to VMware Horizon, then implementing vRealize Cloud Automation Services to automate the new platform.

Early Career Summary (2004–2012)

Virtualization Consultant / Systems Engineer at Login Consultants, Centix, Devoteam, and Infoserve IT Resourcing.
